Global value creation, cross-border innovation and global HR are some topics that define the increasingly complex challenges of leading a business in todays world. To meet these, corporations and their leaders need to develop the willingness to cooperate, the capacity to define globally shared values and the ability to formulate cultural commonalities.
Herein the concept of transculturality which, at its most basic, emphasizes the recognition and relation of cultural differences and similarities, will contribute to the development of industry-wide solutions, daily practice of organizations and the development of globally leading executives. TLS is a summit designed for both the conceptualization of new challenges of leadership, and the interdisciplinary exchange of leading executives from diverse backgrounds. The Transcultural Leadership Summit represents an information platform to deepen participants’ cultural knowledge and foster mutual understanding with its unique feature of an annually changing country focus. - This year the country in focus is China.
Within the past months the major decrease in Chinese GDP has been marking a watershed in the seemingly unlimited emerge of Chinese Economy. In the course of the 21st century previous guarantors of Chinese high speed development like large-scale investments seem no longer sufficient to guarantee for constant and sustainable growth. For China the present change comes with the opportunity to reshape their position in the world and an increasing need for alternative solutions, making it a fit and highly relevant topic for this years TLS.
The two-day conference includes inspiring keynotes by internationally renowned guest speakers, hands-on workshops and panels that highlight the summits highest commitment to interdisciplinarity exchange. Not only with its interdisciplinary focus does TLS differ from other conferences. Throughout the two conference days art installations and unique workshop and panels will add different layers of reflection to broaden participants view on the topics discussed.
